The PADI Open Water Diver course is your introduction to diving and enables you to learn the basics of safe diving. Under the guidance of our experienced diving instructors, you will be prepared both theoretically and practically for your first dives. The turquoise waters of the Riviera Maya offer perfect conditions to develop your diving skills. After completing the course, you will receive an internationally recognized certificate from the diving organization PADI, which enables you to dive to depths of up to 18 metres worldwide.

The Open Water Diver course is designed for beginners and requires no previous diving experience. This course is suitable for everyone - whether you are athletic or have a few extra kilos. Diving is an activity that is open to people of all shapes and sizes.

During your Open Water Diver course in Playa del Carmen, you will not only learn important practical exercises during your first dives, but also discover the fascinating underwater world of Mexico. In addition to tropical fish and colorful coral reefs, with a bit of luck you will have the chance to encounter sea turtles and rays. You will also gain a comprehensive insight into diving, learn the most important basics and experience the impressive diversity of the Caribbean even more intensively with each of the 4 dives. Our Open Water Diver course lasts three exciting days. As always, the meeting point is at our dive center in Playa del Carmen.

On the first day, we start with a theoretical introduction in which you will learn all the important basics of diving as well as the diving equipment. This is followed by practical training in the pool, where you will learn important underwater skills under the guidance of our diving instructor.

On the second day, you will head out into open water, where you will apply the skills you have learned for the first time in the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean. You will explore the colourful coral reefs and put what you have learned into practice.

The third day is dedicated to further dives, during which you will learn more fascinating aspects of diving. At the end of the course, you will receive your international PADI certificate, giving you access to the exciting world of diving.
